Adding Gold Bullion to Your Investment Portfolio

What does your nest egg look like? Do you have gold as part of your financial portfolio? The cool thing about gold is you can trade it in any nation around the globe... everyone appreciates and recognizes it's value and because gold's value never falters, it's a great asset to help stabilize some of your more vulnerable investments like stocks and bonds.

Do you wonder what exactly gold bullion  is? I did! lol I did a little research because I was uncertain of the exact definition. I guess I suspected bullion  to mean a "block" or brick-shaped bar of gold set to a industry determined size and weight. What I found was that it was actually a refined and stamped weight of precious metal... or in this case precious gold!

So, gold bullion is simply a tradeable form of gold... something that's measured and stamped so buyers and sellers can calculate it's worth. A coin can be considered bullion, just as a bar of gold can be considered bullion.

If you're looking to buy bullion you're not alone. I've considered it time and time again. We essentially have no nest egg. We have savings, but it's been designated for certain expenses and retirement hasn't been one of them. We've not planned so well.

Maybe we should buy gold bullion . It's worth researching. I've heard countless investment planners recommend making gold part of our portfolio. I've never heard anyone suggest you should only buy gold... in fact I've heard quite differently, but having some gold as an asset seems to make sense. I think of stability more than anything else. I can't image the day when gold won't have value... but you can't say that about paper stocks and bonds, which are highly volatile.

If you're thinking about retirement planning... there's a free gold IRA guide at GoldCoinsGain.com. Let's go learn about gold!
